With support for standards-based Power over Ethernet (PoE), the need to locally power the IP Phone 2001 is avoided, resulting in reduced infrastructure costs. Resiliency is enhanced as centralized battery backup services at the wiring closet can be leveraged, powering the phone in the event of power outages. The Nortel IP Phone 2001 is fully compatible with most Nortel Communication Servers, delivering both high-quality audio performance and user experience, while taking advantage of an extensive array of business telephony features and capabilities to meet the communication demands of the business.
